A birthday is always a good excuse for family photos! We took this birthday boy’s bar mitzvah as an excuse to gather the whole fam, including the newest addition and get some adorable sibling photos.
Read MoreI had the honor of not only photographing this mom-to-be but also adorning her belly in henna. 💛✨🌙 Pregnancy is such a sacred time & Henna is a sacred connection plant. I tell people all the time it brings people together who need to be together. The connections it’s formed and the bonds it’s created is nothing short of magic. I hope this mama feels so blessed.
Read MoreThe kids didn’t stop moving the entire time and we were chasing after the balloons. Two lessons I learned at this session; mothers take photographs with your teenage sons, please I’m begging they’re only going to let you pinch their cheeks for so long. & two get the balloons and the fluffy dress, dance in the street!
Read MoreIf you have a sibling you know the chaos that ensued during your childhood, you know the fights and the fun you had day in and day out. So when Melissa asked me to capture her wild childs as they are right now I obviously said yes!
Read MoreLove my repeat clients. Not only is Megan a repeat client she also sends all her friends my way and I am forever grateful for it. Anyway, Chris and her are just the freakin’ cutest and I love. hanging out with them every Holiday Card season - though I would totally meet her for brunch (side note: Megan we should do brunch when the Covid is over). Here’s a peek at their half sesh!
Read MorePart of my process is to take a few minutes to get to know my clients and what they’re about. For this family I learned the dad’s favorite soccer team won a championship the year he was born, haven’t won again since, until this year when his son was born. I love the decor of the nursery and all the detail this mama put into baby’s new space. And of course I love it when the family includes their fur babies in the photos.
Read MoreI love when strong powerful women in my life make new humans because I know they’re gonna grow up strong like their mama. Justine is a local bakery owner and her partner is one of the funniest kindest people I’ve ever worked with. After all their challenges to become a family of three, I was so honored she trusted me to document her new family together and healthy.
Read MoreI love intimate ceremonies but more importantly collaborating with my family. The Husband officiated their wedding. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law were there witnesses.
Read MorePart of my creative goal this year is to give away 12 sessions to both past and future clients. I forgot how much I love capturing images without the pressure of delivering the perfect instagram-able image to my clients. Without that stress I’m more creative and willing to try new weird things. Plus, I wanted to try out a new location and this was the perfect excuse.
Read MoreSometimes I can’t believe it’s real life and people trust me with their most precious memories, like damn, that’s special. Here’s a look at their session, I could not have asked for a more beautiful sky or better weather. Throw in some adorable humans and you have a successful family sesh.
Read MoreI always make my families and couples walk around and explore. I find that I capture the in between moments more organically and posing doesn’t feel so forced. I also try to capture images of dad as much as mom when he’s at the session as well.
Read MoreOne of my favorite women is expecting, AGAIN! This time we decided to do a mini in home session since they’ve just purchased a beautiful new to them home in the mist of some serious construction and renovations…
Read MoreWhen Savanna asked me to take her photos in celebration of her graduating ASU, I cold hardly contain my excitement! I love senior session and honestly documenting the pure joy of accomplishing a big task is what I live for as a photographer.
Read MoreWhenever I’m documenting a family, I try to capture the in between, not just when I have them slightly posed or prompted but those moments the kids are ‘mis’behaving or mom feels like she needs to fix their hair, that’s the connection I want to capture.
Read MoreI wanted to show their love for each other and the things they’re proud of. The favorite stuffed animals of the big brothers, the newness of baby brother, the connection between mom and dad, it’s all unique to this family and this moment in their lives. I hope I captured that for them.
