Sweetheart Session

Part of my creative goal this year is to give away 12 sessions to both past and future clients. I forgot how much I love capturing images without the pressure of delivering the perfect instagram-able image to my clients. Without that stress I’m more creative and willing to try new weird things. Plus, I wanted to try out a new location and this was the perfect excuse. But most importantly, I also want to give back to those who’ve supported me when I started out as a photographer over the years. Part of the complication of raising rates as I get, let’s be real, 1000x better than I was when I started, is the risk of out pricing clients from previous years and that is not how I want to do business. I want clients who grow with me, but I also know as a mom with a budget that sometimes people can’t afford my new rates. Even if they know and understand that those rates are built to provide business insurance, pay taxes, improve equipment and most importantly continuing education. These are the clients who know my new rates and value me enough to never ask for a discount. So, my thoughts here are, let’s keep working together! Offering these short sessions and creative-for-me sessions. That’s what this is! The first of my giveaways this year, can you believe I shot all this in 20 minutes? Imagine what I can pack into a full 50 minute session. xoxo
