Kakao Tasting with Your Community Babe and Wellness Casa Luna in Scottsdale, Arizona.

This weekend I attended a beautiful cacao ceremony. It was not like a traditional Cacao ceremony. It was a tasting ceremony. Stef from your community babe requested my services of videographer, content creator, and photographer to take photos and document the experience. How could I say no?!

The event took place at Casa Luna in Scottsdale, Arizona, just outside of Paradise Valley. The event was, mindful, simple, beautiful, and organic in design. We had low to the ground tables with bolsters and blankets for a cozy atmosphere. We had vintage glasses with lemon water to clense our pallette for our intimate tasting. Danielle of Casa Luna prepared the snacks, got all of the kakao ‘plated’ and each delicious snack was paired with our kakao, we discussed the origins history of the kakao and the subtle notes of each variety. If you noticed, we’re spelling with a K it’s because we love love love this brand of Cacao sourced ethically and with no heavy metals. There are three signature varieties one is from Peru, one from Columbia and one is from Guatemala. We also tried the pure Cacao without any sort of sweeteners. The signature blends do have a little bit of sweetener, but it’s the Penella which is not the same sweetner as cane sugar. Each of the paired snacks were nourishing items chosen based on the country of origin to match the places in Central South America that are Cacao comes from.

If you are looking to host a beautiful ceremony, Stef is your girl. She put so much attention to every single detail and wellness Casa Luna is a Scottsdale staple you can see from all the community that gathered here for this event.

Thank you Danielle, Stef and Ray for your design and experience of this evening, it was an honor to document and partake in the event with you and the community.
