Nick + Jordan Wedding

Wedding season was weird this year, no weddings since March 2020 because of Covid, and then finally on 10/10/20 we had our first wedding of the season. Everyone wore masks except for the bridal party portraits and family photos. There were waivers from the venue (the Secret Garden) to be signed before entering. They checked everyones temperature at the door. So many new procedures and protocols, but we didn’t care because we finally got to work a proper wedding again! It was seriously so beautiful to be back around humans, I’ve said many times, I’ll wear the mask if it means we can return to lives and do things again. This wedding was no exception. I rocked my mask for 8 hours except to eat and drink and while I prefer to breathe freely, I consented to this because it fills my heart with so much joy to document families joining and mother’s helping their daughters get dressed for their wedding day. I saw so much love between this mama and her daughter, it brought me to tears more than once. The friends had funny and heartfelt stories to share during the toasts. The bride and groom were so kind to each other and excited to be married. It was all the beautiful moments I love about wedding days.
