I love this piece because in the short time I have had it on display, so many people have talked to me about it’s deeper meaning, one woman told me about how her brother’s marriage was saved by simply hiring a housekeeper (mine too) another woman told me she sp. nt so much of her life cleaning up after her children to keep her husband happy and she’s been divorced for 20+ years now and wishes she didn’t waste her time being so particularly tidy. (her divorce wasn’t because he wanted her to clean - she was just another wild woman trapped under the patriarchy “marriage just wasn’t suited for me” she said) and another viewer giggled in agreement.
